Icon Infiltration


Resin infiltration is a minimally invasive restorative treatment for decalcification of enamel appearing as white-spot lesions (WSLs) and certain congenital hypocalcified enamel (“hypo” or “ freckled “) spots. WSLs are associated with subsurface enamel imperfections caused by an imbalance between demineralization and remineralization of the enamel, resulting from poor hygiene and associated plaque, bacteria and acids, most often seen post orthodontic treatments. These enamel freckling can also be caused by congenital enamel defects due to trauma or infection involving the primary teeth.

With the use of Resin Infiltration, we are able to blend these enamel freckled spots so that the outcome is a more evenly colored tooth. Please call our office to see if you are a candidate for a Resin Infiltration procedure.
