This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you visit this website — what is collected, the outside services the site relies on, the choices you have, and how to reach a real person with any question.

Last updated: August 2026. This policy applies to this website (carlsbaddspediatricsmiles.com). It does not cover our in-office privacy practices for your child’s dental records, which are governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices available at the office.

The short version

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Like almost every website, this site uses a few standard outside tools — a visitor-analytics service, a map, and an Instagram feed — and those tools automatically receive basic technical information (such as your device’s IP address) when their content loads. This website has one simple message form for general questions: what you type is delivered straight to our office email ([email protected]) and is not stored on the website. Appointment requests are made by phone or email. And please don’t send medical, health, or insurance details through the website — it isn’t a secure channel for that.

Information we collect

Information you choose to give us. The general-inquiry message form on our appointment page asks for your name, email address, phone number (optional), and your message. When you press Send, the form submits over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our website service provider (BiteSites), which immediately delivers it by email to our office inbox ([email protected]). It is not stored in a website database and is not used for anything except delivering your message to us. Please keep messages general — don’t include medical, health, or insurance details; for anything about your child’s care, call us at (760) 730-3456. Appointment requests themselves are made by phone or by email, and anything you share that way is handled directly by our office, not gathered by the website.

Information collected automatically. As with most websites, when you visit, basic technical information is recorded and shared with the services described below — for example, the pages you view, roughly what region you are in, your device and browser type, and the site or search that referred you. We use this to understand how the site is used and to keep it working well. We do not use it to identify you personally or to make automated decisions about you.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website or its tools can store in your browser. On this site, the visitor-analytics tool (Google Analytics) sets cookies to measure usage, and the embedded Google Map and Instagram feed may set their own cookies when those parts of a page load. Our own website code does not set any advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing our code stores on your device is your Accessibility Mode preference — that stays in your browser and is never sent to us. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Outside services this site uses

To provide certain features, this site loads content from a small number of third parties. When their content loads, those companies receive technical information — such as your IP address — directly. Some of them, particularly Google and Meta, may use that information to recognize visitors across different websites and over time. We do not control how they use it, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

  • Google Maps — shows the map of our office location on some pages.

  • Cloudflare — hosts and delivers this website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • BiteSites — our website service provider, which also delivers the general-inquiry message form: when you press Send, its form service receives your message and immediately emails it to our office inbox. It does not keep a copy and does not use your message for anything else.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising. The outside tools above receive only the technical, usage-level information described here, and only to provide their part of the website.

Please don’t send medical information through the site

This website is for general information about our practice. It is not a patient portal, and it does not knowingly collect health information. Please do not send personal health, medical, treatment, or insurance details through the website, by email, or through social media — those channels are not secure. To talk about your child’s care, call us at (760) 730-3456 and we will help you directly.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for parents and caregivers, not for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed industry standard for how a website should respond to it, and at this time this site does not change its behavior based on that signal. You can still limit analytics and cookies using the browser settings and opt-out tools described above.
